Cookie policy

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Here is, piece by piece, everything that does happen in your browser when you visit it, and how to block it.

Visit measurement

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC). It is configured with analytics storage denied: it writes no cookies or identifiers in your browser. It still sends Google data about the visit —page viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location— without an identifier that follows you from one visit to the next.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.). It counts visits and measures how fast the site loads. It uses no cookies.

Security and fonts

  • Cloudflare protection. To stop malicious bots, Cloudflare analyses connections and, in some cases, may set a technical security cookie (for example __cf_bm or cf_clearance). It is strictly necessary for the site to run safely and is not used for advertising.
  • Google Fonts. The site's typeface is downloaded from Google's servers, so your browser sends them your IP address when requesting it.

What the site remembers

The site keeps four markers in your own browser's storage. They are not cookies, contain no personal data and are never sent to any server:

  • cauce_ya_estuvo and cauce_visto (local storage): remember that you have visited before, so first-visit hints are not repeated and the "The water" shortcut is shown. They stay until you clear the site's data.
  • cauce_mar (session storage): remembers where you were in the sea journey if you reload the page.
  • portal-cerrado (session storage): remembers that you closed the box inviting you to the journey, so it is not shown again.

The two session ones are deleted automatically when you close the tab.

How to block it

  • Use a private or incognito window: closing it erases everything.
  • Clear encauzar.com's data from your browser settings.
  • Block measurement with a privacy extension or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

The site works the same with all of that blocked.

Why is there no pop-up?

Because there are no advertising or tracking cookies to accept. Instead of a box that interrupts you, the full information is here and in the privacy notice.
