Terms and conditions

The rules of the game, stated plainly: what the price includes, how payment works, what happens with adjustments and who owns the site at the end.

Who provides the service

Johonatan Cordero, an individual business owner in Mexico City, under the trade name Cauce. Contact: johonatan@encauzar.com · WhatsApp +52 55 9100 6668.

What I offer

Custom web design and development —with animation, 3D and scroll storytelling—, landing pages, visual identity for the web, ongoing care after launch and search and AI assistant visibility. What this site describes is for information: the exact scope of each project is set in a written proposal and contract before we start. A WhatsApp message or an email between us counts as writing.

Pricing

  • Projects for clients outside Mexico are quoted in US dollars (USD). The main scene starts at $2,500 USD and ongoing care at $150 USD per month. When the service is used outside Mexico it counts as an export of services and is invoiced with IVA (Mexican VAT) at 0%.
  • Clients in Mexico are quoted in Mexican pesos (MXN) plus IVA (Mexican VAT).
  • "From" prices are the starting point. The final price of your project is agreed in writing before we start and does not change unless you ask to expand the scope: that is quoted separately, in writing, before it is done.
  • Features beyond the narrative experience (online store, bookings, advanced 3D, integrations) are quoted separately.

Payment

A 50% deposit to hold the date and 50% on delivery, before the site is published on your domain. Every payment is invoiced.

Timing

The main scene is delivered in 2 to 3 weeks, live and running. The clock starts once the deposit and the base content are in; days spent waiting for content or answers from you do not count.

What I need from you

Your logo if you have one, the texts or the information to write them, and photographs you hold the rights to use. You are responsible for the materials you provide. I also ask for a single person to approve progress.

Adjustments

Every project includes three rounds of adjustments on real progress. A round is one submission with all the changes together. Extra rounds, or changes to a part already approved, are quoted separately before they are done.

Delivery and warranty

Delivery includes leaving the site running on your domain. Domain and hosting are registered in your name and included for the first year; after that, renewal is covered by ongoing care or paid by you directly. You get a 30-day warranty after delivery: any functional error in the delivered site is fixed at no cost. The warranty does not cover content changes or modifications made by third parties.

Who owns the site

  • Once 100% is paid, you own the delivered site and its content, and I hand you a complete copy of the site's files —code, images and text— along with the logins for your domain and hosting.
  • Cauce keeps its general-purpose tools, techniques and code —you are free to use and modify it within your site—, and may show the project in its portfolio unless we agree in writing that it is confidential.

Ongoing care

It is optional. It is paid month by month, with no automatic charges to your card and no minimum term. You can cancel whenever you want by letting me know in writing: the month already paid is completed and the next one is not charged.

Cancellations

If you cancel, the deposit is refunded in proportion to the work not yet done. Details are in the cancellations and refunds policy.

Use of this site

The texts, design, code and illustrations of encauzar.com belong to Cauce or to whoever licensed them; they may not be copied without permission. Client projects are shown as portfolio and their brands belong to their owners. The site's articles are general guidance, not advice for your particular case.

Law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. If a disagreement comes up, the first step is to talk it through; write to me and we will sort it out. Consumers in Mexico can also turn to the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco).

If these terms change, the new version is published here with its date. Projects already under contract are governed by what was signed.
