Privacy notice

What data of yours I process, why, who I share it with and how you can ask me to correct or delete it. In short: only what is needed to reply and work with you; no advertising, and nothing is sold.

Who is responsible

The party responsible for your personal data is Johonatan Cordero, an individual business owner in Mexico City who provides web design and development services under the trade name Cauce, on the site encauzar.com. This notice follows Mexico's Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.

Contact for any privacy matter: johonatan@encauzar.com or WhatsApp +52 55 9100 6668.

What data I process

  • If you write to me on WhatsApp or by email: your name, your number or email address, the name of your company or brand and whatever you tell me about your project.
  • If you hire me, also: the details needed for the contract, your billing details for the invoice and the receipts of your payments.
  • When you browse the site: technical data that does not identify you by name —which pages you view, which site you came from, device and browser type, and an approximate location (country or city) derived from your connection—. Details are in the cookie policy.

I do not process sensitive personal data (health, ethnic origin, beliefs, etc.). Please do not send it.

The site has no forms: no data is collected that way. The only data I receive is what you choose to send me in a message.

What I use it for

Necessary purposes —without them I cannot help you—:

  • Replying to your message and preparing a quote.
  • Preparing, signing and fulfilling the project contract.
  • Issuing invoices and meeting tax obligations.
  • Providing support, warranty and, if you hire it, ongoing care.

Optional purposes: none. I do not send you advertising, I do not sell or rent your data and I do not use it for advertising profiles. If I ever wanted to use it for anything else, I would ask for your consent first.

Site visit statistics are only used in aggregate, to learn which pages are useful, and are never linked to your name or your messages.

Who I share it with

Transfers: only to Mexico's tax authority (SAT) when I issue invoices, and to authorities that request it under the law. These transfers do not require your consent because the law requires them.

Providers that process data on my behalf, only to deliver the service and without permission to use it for their own purposes:

  • WhatsApp (Meta), for the messages you send me there.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the site, protects it from attacks and forwards email for encauzar.com.
  • The email provider where I receive your emails.
  • Google, through Google Analytics and Google Fonts (see the cookie policy).

Some of these providers store information outside Mexico, mainly in the United States.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to access your data, correct it, delete it or object to its use, as well as withdraw your consent or limit its use. To do so, write to johonatan@encauzar.com with the subject "Data rights" and include:

  • Your name and how you want to receive the reply.
  • A copy of your ID (or, for a representative, the document that proves it).
  • Which right you want to exercise and on which data, with anything that helps locate it.

I reply within a maximum of 20 days from receiving the complete request and, where it applies, it is carried out within the following 15 days. These periods may be extended once by an equal period when the case justifies it; if so, I will let you know. Exercising these rights is free.

Deleting your data does not erase what the law requires me to keep, such as invoices, which are kept for the periods set by tax law.

How long I keep it

Messages from people who do not become clients are kept only while they serve that conversation. Client data is kept for as long as the relationship lasts and afterwards for the periods required by tax law. You can ask me to delete it sooner, except for what the law requires me to keep.

How I protect it

The site only works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). I handle your data myself, in password-protected accounts; nobody else has access to it.

Changes to this notice

Any change is published on this page with its new date. If the change affects what I use your data for, I will also let you know through the channel we are in touch on.

If you believe your rights were not respected, you can turn to Mexico's Ministry of Anti-Corruption and Good Governance (Secretaría Anticorrupción y Buen Gobierno), the authority in charge of personal data protection.
